Our curious and energetic Grade 6 learners eagerly took on the “Decoding Rules” challenge — a fun-filled exercise that sparked logical thinking and strengthened their spirit of collaboration.
Our imaginative Grade 7 students immersed themselves in the inspiring and thought-provoking activity “My Dream Country,” where creativity, vision, and patriotism beautifully came together.
Meanwhile, the spirited Grade 8 learners engaged in the innovative “Star State” activity, celebrating imagination, curiosity, and a shared vision for a brighter future.
In Class 6, the Desh Apnayen activity for August focused on the theme of Interdependence, with students actively participating in a variety of related tasks.
In Class 7, the activity titled Empathy Walk encouraged students to understand and appreciate others' perspectives through engaging discussions and reflective exercises.
In Class 8, the Desh Apnayen activity for August was Rise and Speak, where students confidently expressed their views on important social issues, fostering critical thinking and public speaking skills.
As part of the August Desh Apnayen initiative, students from various classes also took part in the Rise and Speak activity, further enriching their understanding of civic responsibility.
In July 2025, KLES' International School, Belagavi conducted the Desh Apnayen Mock Elections for students of Grades 6 to 8.
In July, as part of the Desh Apnayen initiative, a mock election activity was conducted on 18th July 2024 for students of classes 6, 7, and 8.
On September 8, 2023, KLES’ International School hosted a special event: the investiture ceremony for the President and Vice-President of the Desh Apnayen - The Actizen's Club, which included students from classes VI, VII, and VIII. The dedicated teacher members of the club who play key roles in its activities are as follows:
Desh Apnayen Mock Election Extravaganza for Classes VI, VII, and VIII in July.
Desh Apnayen was founded by Mr. Vallabh Bhanshali, Co-founder and Chairman of ENAM Securities, and his associates in 2015. The vision is to co-create Democracy 2.0, by building an accountable citizenry and society around three important themes: citizenship education, volunteerism and neighbourhood engagement.
The deserving candidates were invested with special powers on the occasion of 'Desh Apnayen Actizens Club Investiture Ceremony 2022-23'. Principal, Mrs. Dipti Ingley and the Social Science HOD, Mrs. Renuka Nannoji, presided over the ceremony as chief guests and congratulated the elected members.
Miss Riya Vernekar and Miss Aarushi Prasad, of class 7 anchored the event with great finesse.
Miss Krupa Khot (class7 ) and Miss Saachi Heda (class7) were elected the President and Vice- President of Desh Apnayen Actizens Club, respectively.
The Oath was administered by both the President and Vice President who pledged to serve their country with sincerity and dedication along with their comrades.
