It was a lovely morning to reminisce about. KLES’ International School, Belagavi had a lot to offer in terms of the competitive spirit and leadership values.

Since the past few days, the school had witnessed a flurry of activity, with the Principal, teachers and the children, engaging themselves, at their level best, preparing for the Annual Sports Meet, 2017.

The morning dawned with the school adorning the familiar, systematic and disciplined fervor and showcasing true sportsman spirit.

The memorable Sports Meet began with the welcoming of the honourable chief guest, DCP,Seema Latkar, our beloved coordinator, Dr. Preeti Doddwad and the esteemed Principal of KLES’ School, Belagavi, Mrs. Shilpa Sunder Raj with floral tributes. The ceremonial ‘Lighting of the Lamp’ and the traditional ‘Flag hoisting,’ followed soon after.

The March Past was a sight to behold with each house outshining the other in their respective parades. The winner was the Topaz House which was at its best and naturally deserved to win. The Welcome song, The Aerobic Dance and Yoga Display each showcased the exquisite talent of the young children.

The honourable chief guest, DCP,Seema Latkar, had a strong message for the teachers as well as the parents when she elaborated on, not over burdening today’s young generation and letting them evolve in a stress free environment.

The Karate Display, the Torch Ceremony by our accomplished torch bearers(Master Om Rupchandani, Master Mandar Desurkar, Miss Samiya Mense, Master Lohit Acharya and Miss Prerana Bhat), the Oath Taking and the ‘Declaration of the Sports Meet Open’ were truly memorable events and would be remembered for a long long time.

The Lezim and the Table Tennis Display were remarkable events and deserve a special mention here.

The Sports events saw the athletes competing with high spirits and demonstrating their best sportsman spirit.

The parents and the teachers played against each other in the popular ‘ Tug-of-War. ’The teachers emerged the winners in this light-hearted and cheerful game.

The Sports Meet came to an end with the prize distribution and delivering the ‘ Vote of thanks.’

Principal, Mrs. Dipti Ingley extended her complete support and guidance for the overall success of the Sports Meet. The credit for the successful implementation goes to the P.E. teachers, Mr. Bhaurao Patil, Mr. Arun Jadhav, Mr. Yashodharan Jain, Mr.Bala and Mr. Madhu Patil. Of course, the Meet was also a showstopper due to the combined efforts of all the teachers, working amicably under all the different committees.
